The term biofield refers to your body's electrical system in its entirety — both the electric current that runs through you, and the magnetic field that surrounds you. Biofield Tuning is a sound therapy method that works directly with this system, seeing it as inextricably connected to your conscious and subconscious mind, including your memories.

Physical, mental, emotional — all of it
All physical, mental and emotional disorders can be perceived as dissonance in your electrical system. Biofield Tuning is able to locate, diminish, and resolve this dissonance — and in doing so, can alleviate (and sometimes eradicate) the corresponding symptoms.
How a session works
During a session, you lie fully clothed on a treatment table while Liz activates a tuning fork and slowly scans your biofield, beginning from about six feet away. Sessions can also be conducted from a distance, over a live call.
As she scans, Liz is:
- feeling for resistance and turbulence in your biofield
- listening for a change in the overtones and undertones of the tuning fork
When she encounters a turbulent area, she continues to activate the fork and holds it in that specific spot. Research suggests the body's organizing intelligence uses the steady coherent vibrational frequency of the tuning fork to tune itself.
In short order, the dissonance resolves and the sense of resistance gives way. This appears to correspond to a release of tension in the body. People relax, breathe more freely, and enter into an increased flow state.
What people report afterwards
As the biofield dissonance subsides, clients generally report feeling lighter, able to breathe more freely, and a diminishment — or even resolution — of their symptoms. One way to interpret this is as a kind of targeted nervous system biofeedback: a side-door entry into the psyche that helps people make changes they otherwise could not on their own.
How often
Eileen Day McKusick (Biofield Tuning's founder) suggests a series of three sessions to begin with, generally about a week apart. Very often, things can be resolved or greatly improved within those three sessions — but there is no limit to how many sessions one can receive. Each session builds on the one before it.
The language on this page draws from the teachings of Eileen Day McKusick and the broader Biofield Tuning lineage. Liz brings her own voice and presence to each session.
